Adam Sparks and Shelley Mowinkel from Milford Public Schools set up a video blog (vlog) challenge last year to help their teachers learn more about educational technology. When I saw their poster session at the NETA conference, it looked like so much fun I asked if I could join in. Happily, they agreed! I frequently get emails asking whether or not a message is ok to open. As a general rule of thumb, don't open links or attachments unless you are expecting them or you recognize the tone of the message. You can also try to identify potentially harmful emails by looking for a few key things:
Scammers are getting better and better at creating deceptive messages like this. By exercising a little bit of caution and common sense, you can avoid causing yourself a whole bunch of trouble!
